Dr Kate is passionate about making sure her patients feel calm and relaxed at the dentist so everyone feels welcome.
She loves building genuine and longstanding relationships with her patients and wants to help her patients get the best dental health possible through prevention of dental disease and high quality dental work.
Always learning
Dr Kate Collins graduated from the University of Queensland with honours in 2013 and completed post-graduate studies in Dental implants through Charles Sturt University and the Australian Dental Association in 2015 receiving a Dean’s award for her academic achievements.
Kate attended Mt St Michael’s college and loves the amazing spirit of North-West Brisbane. She spent several years working in Cairns in North Queensland before returning to Ashgrove in 2017. Kate started at Sheppard Dental (now known as Collins Dental Group) in Ferny Grove in 2020 and took over the practice in 2021 and is enjoying being back in the community again.
She loves seeing her patients grow and be excited to come back for their next visit.
Dental loves
Kate loves working with families and children to make dental visits a fun and memorable experience for the entire family. She enjoys creating a calm and relaxed dental visit which helps put any anxieties aside for a comforting and enjoyable dental experience where everyone feels welcome.
She has a particular interest in oral surgery, dental implants and veneers, crowns and bridge work having focused extra studies and courses in these areas. She has a fine attention to detail particularly with treatment planning to optimise the best outcome for her patients.
